Following on from a recent holiday I’ve finally updated the header image above to something different and uploaded some of the holiday snaps to flickr.
Kew and Chihuly
After spending yesterday evening in Bristol for a wedding we took the opportunity on the way home today to visit Kew Gardens to have a look around the glass houses and in particular to look at the exhibition of the glass sculptures by Chihuly.
I originally heard about these sculptures from Richard and after seeing some of the photos that he took and Sarah shared we thought it was well worth a visit.

Montserrat Holiday Snaps
Whilest on our recent holiday to Spain I got to try out the photostitch capabilities of the digital camera.
Here are the results of this experiment autostitched back together by software. Very impressive if I may say so myself.
Six Spotted Burnet Moths at Southwater Country Park
Last Thursday while out for an evening walk I spotted lots of these insects sunning themselves.
After quite a bit of research it turns out that these are Six Spotted Burnet Moths (Zygaena filipendulae). There where quite a lot of them there I didn’t count exhaustively but I think I saw at least 20.
The photo was taken at Southwater Country Park on 14th July 2005.

Chelsea Flower Show 2005
Had a wonderful if exhausting day at the Chelsea flower show yesterday – I’ve uploaded a few of the 141 photos I took to flickr here. More of them coming soon when I get time to upload them to my local photo gallery.
