Spread Firefox

I signed up and added a link to Spread Firefox today.

I am really impressed with the progress that has been made since Phoenix (As it once was) was originally released. The download size has dropped considerably and the number and quality of extensions available is astounding.

Now to see how many IE users I can convert!

WordPress v1.2.1 Released

WordPress v1.2.1 has been released and this site has now been updated.

Updating was achieve using the ebuild now attached to the security bug in the gentoo bugzilla, and webapp-config performed as expected and merged in my changes to the colourscheme sucessfully.

Hmm.. Yes Richard it seems the stylesheet did get reverted. Doing a diff between the old and new isn’t fun. gnu diff just see’s the changes as one big remove of the old and insert of the new!

Weatherfox

Found a nice extension for Firefox today which displays the current weather forecast for your location (night and day) in any tool / status bar.
Weatherfox is available on mozdev.org and is currently their featured project. It was quick to setup and the built in search functionality found my location straight away.

A new colour scheme!

I finally got round to updating the colour scheme today. Moving away from the default WordPress green to a nice soft blue. The colour was picked using wellstyled’s colourscheme generator which I heard about in Richard’s Blog ([ws] Color Scheme Generator 2).

The colour scheme generator looks good, and interestingly it can display the different colour schemes as viewed with different types of colour blindness to help you ensure that you don’t pick a scheme which could be ambiguous for some users.
