I had a play with metapixel today. The install went a breeze using this ebuild.
Once seeded with about 500 Images (All the ones I currently have in my local gallery install) I set about playing and seeing what I could produce:
Nice to see another small update to wordpress – hopefully fixing the login issues that some users have been seeing.
An updated ebuild can be found here which should make it into the gentoo cvs this evening – many thanks go to photomatt for providing a versioned download file for us gentoo users – may the counting begin!
Bruce Schneier links to a good idea for a two factor authentication system for internet banking.
All large value transactions for customers of ASB and Bank Direct will have to enter an 8 digit security code within a 3 minute window to authenticate the transaction – The code will be sent to the customers mobile phone.
I only hope the implementation of this doesn’t allow the user to setup there mobile phone number within the system through the internet banking system – otherwise surely this doesn’t provide any benifit at all!
On friday I was lucky to attend a seminar entitled “Visual Studio 2005 Preview” organised by vbug and presented by devtrain.
Overall the day was interesting and I learnt a lot about the new features available in VS2005 and .NET Framework v2.0. The following is a review of some of the information presented to us and my views of the new features available.
