Kew and Chihuly

After spending yesterday evening in Bristol for a wedding we took the opportunity on the way home today to visit Kew Gardens to have a look around the glass houses and in particular to look at the exhibition of the glass sculptures by Chihuly.

I originally heard about these sculptures from Richard and after seeing some of the photos that he took and Sarah shared we thought it was well worth a visit.

  1. I just saw his exposition in Miami. I wonder how these fragile objects (some of which are quite tall) can travel around the world and then be shown in such unguarded public surroundings without damage…
    In any case, the combination of the normal garden life (plants birds and lizards) with his objects was very impressive.
