We went out for a lovely meal last night to celebrate Sam’s birthday, here is my review of the restaurant in which we ate:

The Fox Inn advertises itself with the phrase “Famous For Fish” which it truly deserves. The pub style restaurant is suitably cosy and the menu has a good choice of fish dishes together with a number of vegetarian and meat dishes.

I started my meal with the Spicy Fish Stew served in a crusty bread roll – This was an imposing starter and the fish stew was suitably spiced and varied including a number of different types of fish and seafood in a thick rich spicy tomato broth. To follow my fish stew I selected one of the daily specials which was plaice served with spicy cajun prawns and a side order of boiled new potatoes, these were both very enjoyable.

Overall, the meal was lovely and we had a really good time. The Fox Inn is definitely somewhere I would recommend and will be visiting again.

Blubeckers, Hampton Court

Blubeckers and Hampton Court is lovely restaurant with a varied menu – seafood, steaks and pasta all feature. The restaurant is large enough to cater for groups without being so big to feel impersonal. The food is all freshly cooked and comes out looking mouthwatering delicious. The wine list is extensive and they also have a nice range of Belgian bottled beers including Hoegaarden and Leffe Brun and Blond.

Now I just need to work on some CSS to make it look a bit prettier. 🙂
